Project: Merry Christmas

This a nice simple card to make but looks effective. I love this Santa! In fact the whole Jingle all the way set is very versatile. There are dies to match the set too if you don't like to fussy cut.
The Tim Holtz Merry Christmas is a strong focal point in its own right and would lend itself to more traditional themed cards - it has a 1950's vibe.
I used:

  • Tim Holtz Thinlits Merry Christmas
  • My Favourite Things 'Jingle All the Way'
  • 5 cm Circle die (Mine was from a generic set)
  • Hero Arts Collage Music background stamp
  • Distress Ink : Pumice Stone
  • Card stock: White, red and green
  • Spectrum Noir pens
  • Gold sparkle gel pen
  • Sticky pads
  • Big Shot Die cutting machine

Stamp the Santa onto white card stock, with the Pumice Stone ink and colour with the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Add gold sparkle to his belt buckle.

Trim to fit behind the circle apature.

Cut a 13.5 cm2 square of white card.

Spatter with Pumice Stone ink.

Stamp fragments of the Hero Arts Music background randomly, also with the Pumice Stone ink.

Cut the Apature in the upper right corner approx 1.5 from the edges.

Sponge the edges with Pumice Stone ink.

Die cut the Merry Christmas from green and red card, position and stick into place.

Position and stick Santa behind the window.

Mount onto a 14.5 cm2 piece of red card using sticky pads.

Stick on to a 15 cm2 card base.
