Project: White Wishes

This card is quite simple as there are no colour choices apart from where to put the glitter!
All white cards are very effective, however if you prefer a colour version scroll to the bottom. The instructions are the same which ever version you choose, apart from choosing patterned paper!
I used:

  • Tim Holtz Snow Globe die set #1
  • Tim Holtz Paper Snowflake die set
  • Tim Holtz Vintage Tidings - Wish
  • Sheena Festive Embossing folder - Snowfall
  • Tonic Studios basic square dies
  • Lawn Fawn Hillside borders die set
  • Card stock: White
  • Wink of Stella, clear
  • Big Shot Die cutting machine

Cut a 12 cm2 square and emboss with the Snowfall folder.

Die cut a fairly deep snowbank with one of the Hillside dies.

Die cut and assemble the buildings and mountains.

Make scene with the die cuts just behind the snowbank on the embossed background.
Add the trees on sticky pads to raise them up.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella to a liitle glitz to the buildings, trees and mountain tops.

Mount onto a 15 cm2 card base.

Make a frame: cut a 14 cm2piece of card and die cut an apature with the 11.3 cm 2die.

Next cut a few of the Paper Snowflakes and run them through the embossing folder to give them some texture.

Arrange and stick the snowflakes to the scene placing them behind the mountains but on top of the border.
Die cut the word 'Wish' from the Vintage Greetings set and stick to the bottom right corner. Add a little Wink of stella to the dot above the i.

This is exactly the layout but using patterned paper instead of white card and texture. Still needs the Wink of Stella though!
