For each child on Christmas eve there is the picture of Santa on his way flying over the rooftops. Here's my take on that picture. There are some wonderful Santa/Sleigh dies on the market, guilty to buying several :), and this one from Impression Obsession is really detailed. Plus it has six reindeer in pairs instead of a single line.
Team this with Tim Holtz On the Edge Townscape and the scene is really easy to create.
Cut a 14 cm 2 square of white card.
Cut a 4 cm circle from a post-it note to use as a mask and place for the moon.
Using the snowbank mask, work upwards with the ink dusters, brushing colour in a gradient. Grey Flannel > Summer Sky > Nauticle Blue> Paris Dusk
Remove the moon mask and lightly brush with Grey Fannel to soften the stark white.
Remove the snowbank mask and spatter the background with the Titianium White Paint.
Die cut the Houses from black card.
Stick scraps of white card behind the windows.
Use the wink of Stella to give them a sparkle glazed look
Die cut a strip of card with the hills border die.
Run through the snowfall embossing folder.
Stick the houses to the background, in front of the snowbank.
Then stick the enbossed strip on to the bottom of the background so that it covers the cut edge of the houses.
Trim these pieces if necessary.
Die cut the Santa's sleigh from black card.
Stamp the Greeting with Smokey Grey Versafine and fussy cut to the grungy border.
Positin and stick the santa's sleigh on the background.
Add the greeting on sticky pads.
Pop a couple of die cut silver glitter snowflakes around the greeting.
Layer onto a 15 cm2 base card.
