I wanted to do a Z-fold card and came up with this dashing reindeer and sleigh card, utilising quite few of the Marianne Design dies I have in my stash.
Maybe Santa should be in the sleigh but I reasoned that he was propbably in the house delivering presents :)
Cut a piece of A4 white card lengthways, one measuring 14 cm, the other should then measure 7 cm. Save the smaller part for the next stage.
Fold the larger piece in half and then fold the front flap back onto itself.
Take the smaller piece and again fold in half and turn the flap back on itself. Flip it over so it is the reverse of the larger piece.
Die cut with one of the Hills and borders die to create a snowbank.
Run this through the Frosty Swirls embossing folder
Cut two sleighs, one in gold, the other in white card. Trim the white version so that only the body of the sleigh is left.
Colour this with a red Spectrum Noir marker.
Fit and stick to the gold sleigh
Die cut three reindeer and colour with Memento Toffee Crunch and Rich Cocoa - use red marker for one of the noses
Now cut two Trees and sponge with Olive Grove and Rich Cocoa.
Position and stick the sleigh and two reindeer on the larger fold of the embossed snowbank. Place the third reindeer on the first smaller fold and a tree on the last fol.
Tie bakers twine as a harness between the reindeer. Finish with a tiny twine bow on each reindeer's neck.
Die cut, colour and make up the house.
Cut the Lamp bracket from black card.
Die cut the sign from white card and with aid from the stamping platform use Onyx Black Versafine to stamp the greeting.
Sponge with London Fog.
Stick to the bracket.
Stick the other tree to the first small fold of the larger card.
Position and stick the house to the bigger fold.
The lamp bracket and sign sticks to the edge of the first fold, so it hangs over the reindeer.
Line up and stick the beginning and ends of the snowbank with reindeer and sleigh to the larger card, take care and check that it will fold flat.
I added extra interest by die cutting a small lamp post and trees and putting them by the house.
The card folds flat for posting.
