Icy Poinsettias on a shaped card base featuring a Whimsy Stamps Chalkboard greeting and Tim Holtz Garden Greens - except in this case they are white and silver :)

I used:
  • Die'Sire create -a-card 'Stacy'
  • Whimsy Christmas Chalkboards 1 stamp set
  • Tim Holtz Garden Greens die set
  • Crafters companion 3D Sparkling snowflakes
  • Cottage Cutz Basic Stitched Rectangles
  • Spellbinders Shapabilities Layered Poinsettias
  • Card stock: White, Soft touch silver glitter card
  • Memento Ink, London Fog
  • Liquid Pearls, Silver Pearl
  • Sticky Pads
  • Big Shot Die cutting machine

Die cut the largest card base in white card.

Die cut a single panel with the next size down die and emboss with the sparkling snowflakes embosing folder,

This embossing folder is slightly thicker than the norm. For the Bigshot I found the platform, red sizzlits shim, the folder and 2 cardboard shims worked quite well, experiment as too much pressure breaks the paper in the high relief areas. Misting the paper with water can help the fibers form better.

Die cut white and silver glitter poinsettias.

And then cut some foliage from the same white and silver.

Stamp the Chalkboard greeting with London Fog and cut with the stitched rectangle die.

Experiment and arrange the foliage behind the greeting.

Make up the poinsettia. Add the liquid pearl to the centre of the flowers.

Sticky pad the greeting to the embossed panel. add more foliage if need be. I thought it looked a little bare at the left side so added two more sprigs.

Position and stick the poinsettia.

Layer the whole onto the white card base.
