Get on the road with a VW Bug! This card has a travel theme and would be suitable for a male card.
I used:

  • Sizzix thinlits: Open Road
  • Sizzix Deco Strip: Stacked Artful words
  • Stamps:Woodware - Travel Background, Stampendous - Better Travel
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Walnut stain, Peeled Paint
  • Ink: Distress - Pumice Stone, Gathered Twigs
  • Card stock: Kraft, White
  • Misti Stamp Tool
  • White gell marker, orange marker pen
  • Foam pads

Create the rectangular tag.
Stormy Sky and Hickory smoke to each half and spritz with water.
Edge with Gathered twigs.
Stamp the quote from Stampendous in Gathered Twigs onto the sky.
Use a white Gelly Roll marker to add white lines to the road.

Cut and assemble the car. I used pre coloured scraps of card for the body of the car (Peeled Paint), bonnet and windscreen (Walnut Stain) and used marker pens to colour the trim.

Stamp the travel background on to white card in Pumice stone. Trim and sponge the edges in Pumice stone.
Distress the edges of a 14.5 cm 2 panel of kraft card with Peeled Paint Distress oxide spritz and let dry. Sponge the edged with Ground Espresso.
Then layer the travel background at a slight angle onto the background.

Die cut the Stacked words and colour with Ground Espresso.

Add the Road tag with the car – to balance the design have the car ‘upright’
Stick the stacked words vertically onto the travel background. I lost the dot for the I so used a heart instead - The dot is somewhere on the craft room floor ;)

Stick the whole design onto a 6” square Kraft card base.
